English 131: An exploration of exposition.
This class was supposed just supposed to fullfil my writing requirement, but through the efforts of my TA Stacy Grooters, the class made writing come alive for me. Earning the five credits was tough- not only did I get over the fact that people in the States write better than me, but I also had to balance this with Math 120, the class I love to hate.
Projects:
1) Hate is such a strong word: An essay that dealt with the brutal killing of Mathew Shepard and how it relates to a concept known as the Dillemna od Difference.
2) Welcome to the Contact Zone: This paper dealt primarilly with the ideas of acculturation and assimilation that came with my first four months in Seattle.
